The Arizona Air National Guard (162d Wing) intends to solicit and award a contract to Tetra Tech/Mead and Hunt Joint Venture, 710 Avis Dr # 100, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The 162d Wing intends to award a C sole source contract, to Tetra TechMead and Hunt Joint Venture, for A-E Construction Support Services in association with Bldg 1 renovation project. This sole source contract action is required for completion of the following construction scope of work. This standard support includes attending certain meetings throughout the project in person and via teleconference, reviewing submittals, request for information (RFI) support, review of applications for payment and progress reports, review of quality assurance and quality control reports, performing site visits and HVAC testing and balancing, attending the pre-final and final inspections, and reviewing the operations and maintenance manuals. The period of performance is 549 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This requirement is a logical follow on to previous scope of the Type A, B Design Services performed by the Designer of Record, Tetra Tech/Mead and Hunt Joint Venture. The firm is the designer of record and holds all proprietary information regarding investigative and design work.

The construction contract was awarded by the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE, LOS ANGELES DISTRICT) on 26 Sept 2022. This A-E construction support contract is required to allow continuity during the construction execution.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The government is not obligated to award, and will not pay for, any information received from potential sources because of this notice of intent. All responses received will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This is an urgent request. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining future requirements and whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The AZ ANG/162d Wing will consider any response to the notice received within seven (7) calendar days of the posting of the notice.
