The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Kayenta Service Unit in Kayenta, Arizona intends to award a noncompetitive, sole source contract to Steris Corporation for Preventive Maintenance Service on two Medical Equipment Washers on behalf of Kayenta Health Center Central Sterilization Room Department.

Per FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other service will satisfy agency requirements, the Contractor, Steris Corporation is the only organization uniquely qualified to provide the required service to ensure that there is no interruption in services that could impact direct patient care.

This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. . If no affirmative written response is received by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Friday, March 17th, 2023, the contract will be issued without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement base upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
