Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source

Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to issue a sole-source contract to provide fire training, repairs, and preventative maintenance to the STRICOM Fire Trainer®T1000 training center and Mobile Aircraft Fire trainer (MAFT) for the Fort Huachuca Emergency Services Fire Department located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR) Subpart 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirment for a 15-day notification. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals.

The Authority for the sole source procurement is provided under FAR 13.106-l(b)(l): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.

The NAICS code is 238990 (All Other Specialty Trade Contractors).

This notice of intent includes the final redacted Justification & Approval (J&A) document.

The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No request for capability briefings will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is sole with the discretion of the Government.

All responses received by 24 August 2023 (at 1:00pm Arizona Time), to include capability statements, in response to this NOI will be considered by the Government.
