Coconino County (County) is soliciting information from Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to bring high speed internet access across the County, with focus on unserved and underserved locations according to the most recently published Federal Communications Commission (FCC) National Broadband Map (See below Section 2 Resources, Exhibit A).
The purpose of this Request for Information (“RFI”) is to seek input from interested parties in preparation for upcoming broadband infrastructure deployment programs, specifically Arizona Commerce Authority, Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (“BEAD”) programs, and other funding sources which support the construction and deployment of broadband infrastructure designed to deliver services that meet the County and State goal of attaining universal access to broadband. The intent of this RFI is to better understand carrier interests in providing high speed internet solutions throughout Coconino County and allow the County to engage in structured meetings with qualified respondents.
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the County to contract for any supply or service. The County is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. The County will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP issued.
