The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures, and services required for guardrail modifications and installation at two locations:
South Loy Road: Installation of one 145’ guardrail run on South Loy Road 1.6 miles from Cornville Road with 100 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6’ steel posts) and 2 TL-2 MSKT guardrail end terminals. Due to the proximity of underground utilities post installation (up to 12 posts) may require hand dig.
Beaver Creek Road: Replacement of 4 guardrail runs that are currently connected to the concrete barriers on Beaver Creek Bridge. The project includes the removal of 180 linear feet of existing guardrail and 4 guardrail transitions to the concrete barriers, the installation of 4 new TL-2 rated Thrie-Beam Guardrail Transition Systems per Texas DOT Standard Drawing GF(31)TR TL2-19, the installation of 50 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6’ steel posts), and 4 new TL-2 MSKT guardrail end terminals. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.
There has been a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2023, hosted by Yavapai County Public Works through an online virtual meeting portal. Detailed meeting instructions will be included in the contract documents. Any questions or concerns about the project will be addressed at that time.
